They champion causes that promote social justice, equality, and inclusivity, advocating for the rights and dignity of all, particularly the most vulnerable and marginalized populations. By collaborating with stakeholders, mobilizing resources, and implementing innovative solutions, they tackle complex social challenges and drive positive change at local, national, and global levels. The award is given separately under the following categories:<\/span><ul><li><strong>For Academic Institutions:<\/strong> Award is given to academic institutions for their exemplary work in the following areas:<ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Community Engagement and Service Learning<\/li><li>Scholarship and Financial Aid Programs<\/li><li>Environmental Conservation<\/li><li>Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance<\/li><li>Youth Empowerment and Development<\/li><li>Research for Social Impact<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">For Non-Academic Organizations:<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> The Philanthropy Excellence Award is given to non-academic organizations for their outstanding contributions to societal well-being in the following areas:<\/span><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li>Poverty Alleviation<\/li><li>Education and Literacy<\/li><li>Healthcare and Medical Support<\/li><li>Child Care<\/li><li>Elder Care and Support<\/li><li>Environmental Conservation<\/li><li>Social Justice<\/li><li>Hunger-Free Society<\/li><li>Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance<\/li><li>Youth Empowerment and Development<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Selection Process: <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">It comprises following steps:<\/span><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li><strong>Application Submission: <\/strong>Applicants must apply for the award through ERDA website. Individuals are required to provide a brief description (maximum 500 words) about his\/her philanthropic activities and its impact on the society which can justify his\/her eligibility for this award. They may also upload their CV (it is not compulsory, but preferable). Institutions are required to submit only a detailed description (maximum of 1,000 words) outlining their philanthropic activities within their organization related to any specific area, which can justify their eligibility for the award.<\/li><li><strong>Digital Presence: <\/strong>Candidates are required to provide links to their profiles on social media and professional digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. This information will be helpful for the selection committee during evaluation.<\/li><li><strong>Evaluation Process: <\/strong>The evaluation process consists of two rounds:<ul><li><strong>Initial Review:<\/strong> Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted based on the CV and brief description provided.<\/li><li><strong>Final Evaluation:<\/strong> Shortlisted applications will be forwarded to ERDA\u2019s Non-executive Body. A committee within this body will conduct a detailed evaluation, including inquiries through various sources, to select the final award recipients. The decision of selection committee is final.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Notification and Award Presentation: <\/strong>Once the selection is finalized, ERDA will notify the award recipients. The award includes a certificate and a trophy, which will be conferred during various ERDA-organized events, including seminars, conferences, summits, conclaves, and similar gatherings held in India and abroad.
