We are excited to extend an invitation for you to become more involved in the leadership of the Education Research and Development Association (ERDA). As an organization committed to advancing education, research, and societal development, ERDA relies on the strong leadership of its members to drive its mission forward. We believe that you, our valued members, possess the experience, dedication, and vision necessary to guide ERDA in achieving its strategic goals. Therefore, we invite you to consider self-nominating for various leadership positions within our organization. Taking on a leadership role at ERDA provides a unique opportunity to shape the future of our association and contribute to meaningful change. As a leader, you will be able to influence key decisions, collaborate with other professionals who share your commitment to education and research, and help steer our initiatives towards impactful outcomes. This is also a chance to grow professionally, enhance your leadership skills, and gain recognition for your contributions to our shared mission. 

To be eligible for these leadership positions, you must be an Associate or Fellow Member of ERDA. We encourage you to self-nominate for up to two positions that align with your skills and interests. The self-nomination process is straightforward: simply complete the attached form, indicating the positions you are interested in, and provide a brief statement about your qualifications and vision for those roles. Please note that leadership positions are filled based on current and anticipated vacancies, which are determined through regular assessments of member engagement and contribution.

We value the diverse perspectives and experiences that our members bring, and we are committed to maintaining a leadership structure that reflects our community’s commitment to excellence, transparency, and innovation. Eligibility: (kindly read serial number of each position as position code)

Position Code – 1 & 2: Eligibility for these positions extends to members holding roles as Professor. In specific situations, when it is deemed essential for the effective functioning of the association, Associate Professor may also be considered for the position of Vice President.

Position Code – 3 & 4: Members serving as Professor or Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in either Government or Private Universities are eligible for these positions.

Position Code – 5: Members who are from academia or industry and having significant experience in the relevant field are eligible to apply for this position. 

Position Code – 6 & 7: Foreign members working as Professor in either Government or Private Universities within a specific country are eligible to apply for these positions. In specific situations, when it is deemed essential for the effective functioning of the association, Assistant Professors or Associate Professors may also be considered for the position of Vice President.

Position Code – 8, 9, 10 & 11: Members serving as Professor or Associate Professor in any Government or Private University within a specific State, Union Territory, or District are eligible to apply for these positions. In certain circumstances, when necessary for the efficient operation of the association, Assistant Professors may be considered for the role of  President or Vice President.

Position Code – 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 18: Members working as Professors or Associate Professors in either Indian or foreign Government or Private Universities are eligible to apply for these positions. Eligible members should have substantial academic and research experience and hold a doctorate degree in the relevant field. 

Position Code 15 & 19: Any member who has a desire to contribute to the community is eligible for these positions.  

Position Code 20: This position is open to Student Members. The selection and appointment of members to this position will take place at the Country/State/District level.

All nominations shall be reviewed by our Non Executive Body. After review process, consent letter shall be sent to the shortlisted members, after receiving consent form the selected member/s, appointment certificate shall be issued and accordingly it will be updated on our website also.  

Note: Preference will be given to members employed in government institutions or universities.
