ERDA Excellence Award for education
This award honors academic institutions, professional bodies and training providers for their remarkable contributions to providing quality education across diverse disciplines. It is given under following three categories:
- For providing holistic education
- For providing professional certification
- For providing professional training
Providing holistic education
It is given to academic institutions. These institutions not only excel academically but also demonstrate a deep commitment to fostering the overall growth and well-being of students. They promote a balanced approach to education by integrating academic rigor with personal, emotional, and social development.
Through innovative and inclusive learning environments, they prioritize student-centered approaches that encourage experiential learning, research opportunities, and real-world applications. These institutions cultivate a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous growth, while also nurturing values such as empathy, leadership, and social responsibility. Their commitment to holistic development equips students with the skills and character to become future leaders, innovators, and change-makers.

Providing professional certification
Professional bodies which provide certification for professional qualifications in the fields of science, commerce & management, and humanities & social sciences are eligible for this award. Professional qualifications offer by these bodies are very much helpful in getting employment and career growth.
Providing professional training
Institutions which are playing crucial role in preparation and selection of students in professional and competitive exams are eligible for this award.
Selection Process: It comprises following steps:
- Application Submission: Applicants must apply for the award through the link provided on the ERDA website. Applicants are required to submit a brief description (up to 1000 words) highlighting their achievements and justifying the eligibility for the award.
- Digital Presence: Applicants are required to provide links to their profiles (institutional page) on social media and professional platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. This information may be helpful for the selection committee during evaluation.
- Evaluation Process: The evaluation process comprises of two rounds:
- Initial Review: Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted based on the brief description provided during the submission of application form.
- Final Evaluation: Shortlisted applications will be forwarded to ERDA’s Non-executive Body. A committee within this body will conduct a detailed evaluation, including inquiries through various sources, to select the final award recipients. The decision of the committee is final.
- Notification and Award Presentation: Once the selection is finalized, ERDA will notify the award recipients. The award includes a certificate and a trophy, which will be presented at an annual seminar, conference, or summit.
