ERDA’s Centre for Promoting Education & Research in Humanities and Social Sciences (CPERHSS) has been established with the primary objective of advancing education and research in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences. CPERHSS is governed by a designated committee consisting of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Expert Members. Committee members are selected based on their significant academic and research experience in specific domains of Humanities and Social Sciences. Specific objectives of CPERHSS are as follows:

• To organize National and International Seminars/Conferences addressing emerging issues in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences.
• To conduct Workshops, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), Training Programs, ERDA Talent Search Exams (ETSE), and other similar activities.
• To oversee the publication of ERDA’s Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (proposed).
• To manage the publication of edited books, working papers, study materials, and more.
• To select deserving candidates for the ERDA Excellence Award for Teaching and Research in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences.
• To identify eligible candidates for the Scholarship/ Fellowship. 
• To undertake any other initiatives as determined by the Executive Body or Non-executive Body, with the aim of enhancing education and research in Humanities and Social Sciences.
