ERDA Excellence Award for holistic development

The ERDA Excellence Award for Holistic Development recognizes school and college level students  who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in both academics and extracurricular activities at the school, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. This award underscores ERDA’s commitment to fostering the comprehensive growth of student community. By celebrating these students’ hard work and outstanding accomplishments, ERDA aims to inspire them to continue pursuing excellence in all areas of their development.

Award Categories:

  1. For Senior Secondary Level Students (12th Grade): Students who have recently passed senior secondary level board exams are eligible to apply under this category. The award is given separately under following disciplines:
      • Science
      • Commerce
      • Social Sciences

            Number of Awards: 06 (two awards  under each stream).

  1. For Undergraduate Level Students: Students who are in the final year of  undergraduate courses are eligible for nomination. This award aims to honor and encourage deep interest of students in any of the following disciplines:
      • Faculty of Science
      • Faculty of Engineering and Technology
      • Faculty of Medical Sciences
      • Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies
      • Faculty of Management Studies
      • Faculty of Social Sciences
      • Faculty of Law
      • Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  1.  Number of Awards: 16 (two awards under each faculty)
  1. Postgraduate Level Students: Students who have recently cleared their first-year or second-year postgraduate exams are eligible to apply for this award. This award aims to acknowledge students’ sound understanding in any of the following domains.
      • Faculty of Science
      • Faculty of Engineering and Technology
      • Faculty of Medical Sciences
      • Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies
      • Faculty of Management Studies
      • Faculty of Social Sciences
      • Faculty of Law
      • Faculty of Arts and Humanities
  1.  Number of Awards: 16 (two awards under each faculty)
  •  Selection Process: it consists following steps:
      • Application Submission: Applicants must apply for the award through ERDA website. They are required to upload a brief description (maximum 250 words) about his/her academic performance in particular subject, leadership and extracurricular involvement, Involvement in research projects, publications, or presentations at conferences, participation in community service projects, volunteering, or social initiatives etc. It is worth noting that information regarding research and publications are not applicable for school students.
      • Digital Presence: Candidates are required to provide links to their profiles on social media and professional digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Kindly ignore, if any candidate has no account on social media. This information will be helpful for the selection committee during evaluation.
      • Evaluation Process: The evaluation process comprises of two rounds:
          • Round One: Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted based on the brief description provided.
          • Final Round: Shortlisted applications will be forwarded to ERDA’s Non-executive Body. A committee within this body will conduct a detailed evaluation, including inquiries through various sources, to select the final award recipients. The decision of the selection committee is final.
  • Notification and Award Presentation: Once the selection is finalized, ERDA will notify the award recipients. The award includes a certificate and a trophy, which will be presented at an annual seminar, conference, or summit. Recipients who are unable to attend the event will receive an e-certificate.
