ERDA Excellence Award for philanthropy
ERDA Excellence Award for Philanthropy is a prestigious recognition bestowed upon individuals and institutions that have demonstrated outstanding dedication, innovation, and impact in addressing social challenges and advancing humanitarian causes.
- For Individual: This award honors compassionate leaders among society who have made exceptional contributions to improving the well-being and quality of life for individuals, families, and communities through their philanthropic endeavors and humanitarian initiatives. These individuals go above and beyond to address critical social issues such as poverty, hunger, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. They champion causes that promote social justice, equality, and inclusivity, advocating for the rights and dignity of all, particularly the most vulnerable and marginalized populations. The award is given separately in the following categories to acknowledge the outstanding work done by individual members for the betterment of society:

By collaborating with stakeholders, mobilizing resources, and implementing innovative solutions, they tackle complex social challenges and drive positive change at local, national, and global levels. The award is given separately under the following categories:

- For Academic Institutions: Award is given to academic institutions for their exemplary work in the following areas:
- Selection Process: It comprises following steps:

- Application Submission: Applicants must apply for the award through ERDA website. Individuals are required to provide a brief description (maximum 500 words) about his/her philanthropic activities and its impact on the society which can justify his/her eligibility for this award. They may also upload their CV (it is not compulsory, but preferable). Institutions are required to submit only a detailed description (maximum of 1,000 words) outlining their philanthropic activities within their organization related to any specific area, which can justify their eligibility for the award.
- Digital Presence: Candidates are required to provide links to their profiles on social media and professional digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. This information will be helpful for the selection committee during evaluation.
- Evaluation Process: The evaluation process consists of two rounds:
- Initial Review: Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted based on the CV and brief description provided.
- Final Evaluation: Shortlisted applications will be forwarded to ERDA’s Non-executive Body. A committee within this body will conduct a detailed evaluation, including inquiries through various sources, to select the final award recipients. The decision of selection committee is final.

- Notification and Award Presentation: Once the selection is finalized, ERDA will notify the award recipients. The award includes a certificate and a trophy, which will be presented at an annual seminar, conference, or summit.
